Rhonny Ventat
From a very young age Rhonny Ventat was into music and won many music prizes and awards: 1st prize at the "Jeunes Talents" and "Jeunes Solistes", winner of the European Union Radio and Television competition, Belfius Classics, Rogier Potier prize, Nicolas Dor prize. He was soon given the privilege of playing solo with some of the biggest names and orchestras, both national and international: Tiborg Varga, André Vandernoot, Georges Octors, Steve Houben, The Wallonie and Sion (Switzerland) Chamber Orchestras, the Orchestre de la Force Aérienne Belge, Belgian, Spanish and Danish radio and television symphony orchestras.
His brilliant musical studies in the Royal conservatories of Brussels and Liège were followed by private classes with Maître François Daneels, Jean-Marie Londeix,…
Rhonny began appearing more in public and diversified his repertoire. Jazz, Funk, Blues, House music, world music and personal pieces became part of his universe. He went on to play with some of the world’s biggest performers (Gilbert Montagné, Sacha Distel, The Magics Platters, Julien Clerc, Francis Lallanne, David Hallyday, Garou, Tina Arena, William Sheller for the 2000 and 2005 tours, …
Today Rhonny is working on his personal projects: the release of the CD Saxacorda and a tour with his string and saxophone quartet. Preparing his other project "Funky Jazz Band" and above all a big tribute concert for the bicentenary of the inventor of the Saxophone, on May 28th 2014 at the Forum de Liège with the Orchestre National de Belgique
